The Iowa Peace Initiative hosted their first conference on September 28th at Loras College in Dubuque, Iowa. We had speakers that included:
Jeff Patterson, President, Board of Directors, Physicians for Social Responsibility
Mike Ferner, President of Veterans for Peace;
Nancy Porter, Chair, National Education Association Peace & Justice Caucus.
We had an amazing turn out and had the opportunity to share the latest conversations happening throughout Iowa regarding the Peace movement. The event ended with a march downtown.
